Sadly, all people will suffer loss at some point in their lives. There is no right or wrong way to grieve and everyone grieves differently. Unfortunately, there is no way to "fast forward" through the difficult feelings associated with bereavement.
Sometimes, someone is grieving a loss and simultaneously trying to work through trauma that occurred leading up to or during the time of their loved one's death. For example, someone may have been the caretaker of their loved one and painfully witnessed their loved one's physical or emotional suffering. In these situations, grief counseling can be beneficial, as the client can have a safe place to speak about the loss, as well as, the other painful moments.
Some losses can be so profound, so unexpected, or so deeply painful, you are left unsure of what to do next. How to pick up the pieces and continue on in this new reality without your loved one physically present. We offer grief counseling to assist people through these difficult times.
